Each summer, the list of things to do in Wilmington grows exponentially. With the warmer temperatures, there's the option to head outside for exercise sessions, festivals, and even concerts. The Shipyard Summer Concert Series at Dravo Plaza makes up a big part of the summertime itinerary in Wilmington.

Held on the banks of the Christina River at the Tubman-Garrett Riverfront Park, the Shipyard Summer Concert series is a free show that unfolds every Thursday at 7 p.m. Now through August 31st, you can come to the park to check out performers like The Larry Tucker Band (July 27th), which plays a mix of rhythm and blues with Motown hits. On August 10th, Best Kept Soul brings a mix of gospel, jazz, funk, blues, and other similar genres to the stage. Come out to the park on August 24th to enjoy a show by Gerald Chavis, who weaves musical tapestries using threads of modern jazz and rhythm and blues.
