For the second year in a row, OperaDelaware will be hosting a spring festival for all to enjoy. The festival will boast five exclusive shows over the span of two weeks at The Grand Opera House, as well as the OperaDelaware studio. This year, the theme celebrates the 225th birthday of composer Gioachino Rossini with shows that were a part of his legacy.

Perhaps the most popular and well-known of his shows, La Cenerentola will be performed twice, as well as two shows of Semiramide and one show of Petite Messe Solennelle. La Cenerentola is a version of Cinderella, which is great for someone who is new to the opera.

Tickets for the shows can be purchased online or at the box office with La Cenerentola and Semiramide running $25 for general admission and $40 for Petite Messe Solennelle. The best part? This includes a pre-show lecture one hour before the start of the performance led by industry moguls. Check out the website for more info and showtimes.
