There are tons of great delis and coffee shops hidden in the nooks and crannies of Wilmington’s business district. Originally opened by and for the everyday man, nowadays these shops are frequented by suits, hipsters, and neighborhood regulars alike. Benjamin’s on 10th is a neighborhood staple that continues to serve delicious food year after year.
In keeping with the tradition of a neighborhood deli/coffee shop, it is tiny, noisy, and the inexpensive tasty fare may be diet-breaking but you won’t find a better breakfast muffin (warning: they are the size of a baby’s head) or lunchtime sandwich, burger, or hot dog. Perhaps the best part about Benjamin’s is the super-friendly, attentive staff that makes early morning breakfast runs bearable—nothing like a smile (and one of their famous breakfast sandwiches) to get your day started.
Dinner at Benjamin’s? Not a chance. The restaurant closes (very) early–2:30 PM to be exact.
