Established in 1978, Matilda’s Off Market is an eclectic salon owned by the husband & wife design team of John and Mari Samluk, located in the renaissance area of downtown Wilmington, DE known as LOMA (Lower Market) Design District at 230 North Shipley Street Wilmington, DE.
Matilda’s is named after John’s mother, who was essential in guiding John to the path of hairdressing, making John the twelfth hairdresser in a family of hairdressers! (With that much talent in the family we know Matilda’s is top notch!) With advanced education from a wide variety of industry greats (too numerous to mention), the salon is home to internationally trained stylists and colorists, who are devoted to hair coloring, expertise in natural curly hair, and the latest industry trends.
