- The glamorous, historical Hotel DuPont has put together a classic four course Prix-Fixe dinner for busy business pros to enjoy. On Thanksgiving Day from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., the tables in their elegant Green Room will be spread with seasonal classics like slow roasted turkey, stuffed lobster tail and a succulent dessert trio. This holiday menu is served at the price of $95 for adults and $29 per child.
- Harry Savoy’s on Naaman’s Road in Wilmington will be rolling out a full buffet as well as a Thanksgiving a la carte menu this year. Flexible reservation times are ongoing between the hours of 12 noon and approximately 8 p.m.
- The Rail Wine Bar’s Thanksgiving to Go is a great choice if you would love to host a party but you simply can’t find the time to cook. All you have to do is order and pick it up from this trendy eatery! All you’ll be left with is setting the table.
Completely Alternative Plans
If you don’t celebrate Thanksgiving at all, you’re definitely not alone. Movie theatres like IMAX on the Riverfront tend to be packed on days like Christmas and Thanksgiving. Taking in a movie or embarking on a tour of the city over the holiday is a great way to spend your time.
Seeking another innovative alternative to devouring a holiday meal? How about giving one to those less fortunate instead? Participating in their Thanksgiving outreach program as a volunteer is guaranteed to be a rewarding experience that will fill your heart with the type of joy you might not find at the head of the turkey carving station.
