The duPont family is known throughout Delaware for its contributions to the local economy, as well as the stunning mansions and estates that its wealth afforded the family. The Blue Bell Barn is just one example of the stunning buildings that the duPonts were able to construct with their enviable means. Today, the historic barn sits at the heart of the Alopocas Run State Park, and it's the site of the Pawpaw Folk Festival.

On Wednesday, August 19th, the Blue Bell Barn hosts a free festival (after paying for park admission) all day long. It's slated to be a mix of local music, fresh comfort food, and story-telling. Many local artists will turn out to sell their handcrafted items. And, of course, guests will be able to taste Pawpaw, a little-known fruit that's actually native to the Eastern U.S., including Delaware.
