Artists, get ready to be excited because there is a new art store in town! Jerry’s Artarama, a fine art supply retail store, has opened it’s doors in Downtown Wilmington. They celebrated their Grand Opening ceremony on August 1st. The Dean of Delaware College of Art and Design (DCAD), Stuart Baron, and City of Wilmington Economic Development Director Harold Gray, helped Jerry’s Artarama cut their Grand Opening ribbon.

Artarama

The art store has been open since 1968 and has a very high online retail presence, but is increasing their in-person presence nationwide. They currently have sixteen stores in ten states, most of which are located next to college campuses. Which is the same for their newest location here in Wilmington. They are located next to Delaware College of Art and Design and they are the official supplier for students.

Jerry’s Artarama is already becoming a large part of the community. Many artists in and around town are filled with excitement to have a new discount art store close to home. Jerry’s is also becoming a presenter at the Wilmington Art Loop. The Art Loop is a night filled with everything art. The first Friday of each month art galleries, museums, studios, and retail art stores like Jerry’s Artarama stay open late and host meet and greets with artists and special art-focused receptions.
