Job Purpose

To maintain the cleanliness of assigned building(s)/property.

Duties & Responsibilities                                                                                                                                         

  • Sweep all hard surfaces in lobby
  • Wet mop all hard surfaces in lobby (wet floor signs are required to be used when mopping and must be removed immediately when area is dry)
  • Dust and wipe down baseboard
  • Clean all lobby glass window surfaces inside and out daily
  • Clean all lobby glass door surfaces inside and out
  • Clean all lobby desk areas
  • Clean and disinfect all Men’s and Women’s restrooms restock paper products and hand soap, remove trash
  • Clean all stainless steel with stainless steel cleaner, no water spots
  • Wipe down painted doors, no handprints
  • Keep cleaning supply closets locked at all times
  • Report maintenance items, trip hazard or defects to Maintenance Supervisor
  • Dust all light fixtures and remove cobwebs, make sure there are no bugs in light fixtures
  • Clean vent covers
  • Offices:
    • Sweep and damp mop hard surface flooring
    • Clean, wipe down and disinfect kitchen counters and all glass and appliance surfaces in office kitchen area
    • Clean all stainless steel with stainless steel cleaner, no water spots
    • Clean and disinfect all Men’s and Women’s restrooms restock paper products and hand soap, remove trash
    • Clean vent covers
    • Wipe down and disinfect trashcans
    • Clean and disinfect water fountains
    • Clean all window and mirror surfaces daily.
    • Office hallways / elevator lobbies
    • Clean elevator door tracks at each floor level
    • Clean all interior and exterior elevator hard surfaces (floors, walls, doors, door jams, handrail, and indicator panel light fixtures)
    • Polish elevators with stainless steel cleaner
    • Remove trash from trash rooms and bring to compactor or appropriate receptacle.
    • Clean/Polish trash chute doors on each floor inside and out.
    • Chute door will be cleaned and disinfected daily.
    • Clean and disinfect trash room floor on each floor
    • Vacuum all hallways
    • Lobby floors cleaned daily with appropriate cleaning method
    • Immediately spot clean carpet if pet stains are visible
    • Spot check, spot vacuum and remove trash or paper from residential hallways daily floors to 12th
    • Inspect and clean if necessary, all light lens covers, no cobwebs
    • Inspect and recommend shampoo as necessary hallway and elevator lobby area carpets
    • Clean mirrors
    • Dust light fixtures
    • Dust / polish exit signs
    • Clean console tables
    • Clean floor mats
    • Clean and wipe down all hallway furniture
    • Clean and wipe down fire extinguisher cabinets and remove any trash
    • Sweep/dust/mop all stairs and each hallway with disinfectant deodorizer on schedule as directed
    • Clean grill(s) and seating areas in outside amenity spaces.


  • Must be self-motivated, with good communication skills.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and demands.
  • Must be able to work independently and possess strong work ethic and decision-making skills.
  • Must be able to effectively interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization and customers/tenants.
  • Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets
  • Attention to detail
  • Must possess a US drivers license
  • Speak English fluently
  • Have reliable transportation


  • High school degree or equivalent is strongly preferred.


  • Minimum 6 months in a cleaning capacity.

Physical Requirements

  • Requires standing and walking.
  • Frequent stretching and / or bending to access equipment, objects in need of repair, etc.
  • Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Occasional stooping and kneeling.
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, ramps.
