Earn that second (or third!) slice of pumpkin pie by participating in the Thanksgiving Day MS Run! Back for its 38th year in 2016, this annual event benefits the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, "the largest private funder of MS research in the world." So when you lace up your sneakers bright and early on Thanksgiving Day, you'll become part of an initiative to help those affected by the disease.

This year, the event will comprise 10K and 5K runs, a 5K walk, and, for the little ones, a fun run that will be led by none other than Santa and Mrs. Claus. All of the races start and finish in front of the PNC Bank Center in Wilmington, with registration taking place at 8 a.m. After crossing the finish line, stick around for refreshments and to snap a selfie with Santa!
