Dining Out in Wilmington: A Look at the Eclipse Bistro
The Platinum Dining Group, a Delawarean retail market striving to serve both with their entrées and hospitality has delivered time and again and the Eclipse Bistro is no exception. The Eclipse Bistro is just one of the Platinum Dining Group’s widely popular Wilmington, Delaware restaurants. Eclipse opened to rave reviews in 1996 and has maintained a reputation as a staple Delaware eatery ever since. The secret to their success is in the recipes. A combination of subtle change and elegant simplicity is what separates the Eclipse Bistro from the myriad of other local eating options.
Executive Chef J.D. Morton has been serving up his vision of “new Delaware” dishes for approximately 2 years. The ever subtly changing menu is complete with Morton’s own personal touch. Daily specials range from seasonal inspirations to tried-and-true classics and just about everything in between. This simplistic approach to savory entrées earned Chef Morton a head nod from the James Beard Foundation in the form of a “Rising Star” nomination. Critics and customers alike agree that the Eclipse Bistro is living up to their “one guest at a time” mission statement and exceeding expectations.
