Downtown Wilmington has seen a number of new restaurants open over the last few years, but the LoMa district is about to get even tastier!  Anyone who has strolled down Market Street recently has surely noticed all the butcher paper and painter’s tape in the windows at La Fia Bakery & Bistro, which is set to open in June 2013.

The owner and head chef, Bryan Sikora, recently left his post at the famous Philly hotspot, a.kitchen.  He has experience cooking a variety of cuisines and has honed his skill everywhere from New England to the Pacific Northwest.   He will bring fresh, homemade flavor to everything at La Fia, from baking his own bread, making his own pastas, and pickling his own vegetables.

While there has not been any official word on what will be on the menu, it will definitely be fresh and delicious.  Located at one of The Residences at LOMA buildings (421 Market Street), La Fia is also only four and a half blocks from the Residences at Rodney Square, just across the bridge from Christina Landing, and less than a mile from the Justison Landing Apartments; you can sneak a peek through the windows at 421 Market Street, or you can check out La Fia on Facebook.
