Livability’s 2019 Top 100 Best Places to Live Features Wilmington, DE
Wilmington, Delaware has been named one of the 2019 Top 100 Best Places to Live by Livability! Of course, this is no surprise to us, since this wonderful city is home to 8 of Reside BPG’s luxury apartment communities, located in a variety of Wilmington neighborhoods. Here’s what Livability had to say about our diverse and flourishing city:
“Wilmington is the biggest city in the state and is home to a curious blend of beauty and business. The city is known for having a strong financial sector, and many banks and financial companies like Bank of America, Capital One and Barclays have chosen to make Wilmington home for some of their major offices.
Wilmington made our list this year not only because of its business acumen, but also because it is a diverse and culturally rich city — with a 58% African American and 10% Hispanic population — making it a welcoming and diverse community. The city also scored points for its easy access to transportation and ease of travel, and specifically for its Amtrak station downtown that can take you to Philadelphia, New York, Washington D.C. and Baltimore in just a couple hours’ time.”
Livability explores what makes small-to-medium sized cities great places to live. Through proprietary research studies, engaging articles and original photography and video, Livability examines topics related to community amenities, education, sustainability, transportation, housing, and the economy. Livability then leverages that expertise to develop city rankings for a range of topics including small towns, college towns and the annual Top 100 Best Places to Live.
