They say a picture is worth a thousand words. As a writer I take this phrase as a slight insult and challenge any artist to come up with a thousand words describing their work. Not that easy is it? That being said, I have nothing but respect for those who devote their lives to art. I myself dabble in some light doodling from time to time.

With that in mind, I feel it is my duty to introduce the grand opening of Jerry’s Artarama! By the way, Jerry, great work with the name. Just outstanding.

Jerry's Artarama

Tomorrow, August 1st, marks a great day in Wilmington’s history. Jerry’s Artarama (really I can’t say it enough) is set to be the first and only fine art supply store located in this fair city. This news is huge for students of DCAD, who up until now have been forced to make due with glitter and finger paints.

The event will be kicked off with a ribbon cutting ceremony (something I only now realize exists in real life) attended by the one and only Mayor Dennis P. Williams. This is truly shaping up to be an incredible day for both art and mayoral enthusiasts.

Make sure you attended this historic moment, tomorrow at 10 am, and be first in line for insane opening day discounts on everything your artistic heart desires. I hear they even sell those little berets so you can look the part as well.
