The great outdoors: Mother Nature’s gift to humanity. Not really my cup of tea. To be fair, getting out of bed in the morning is generally the hardest part of my day, let alone making it all the way downstairs and out the door. It’s safe to say I would rarely leave the house if it weren’t for the fact that no one here seems too excited about paying me to take naps all day. And if anyone reading this is willing to pay me to take naps all day, please, feel free to email me immediately and I’ll gladly quit this job. Even if you want to watch me napping, I’ll just look past all the instincts telling me you’re probably not a credible employer.

Seriously, think about it.

However, if you do happen to be one of those people who enjoy things like “sunlight” or “movement” Delaware Greenways and the Nature Conservancy in Delaware have some exciting news. Their See You Outside Challenge is about to kick off and you do not want to miss out on this opportunity.

See You Outside

The website for the See You Outside Challenge features a scavenger hunt style list of activities you must complete in order to become eligible for the grand prize. Activities vary from the almost-too-easy “sign up for the challenge” to things we should all just admit are simply impossible like finishing a 5k race or biking to work. Plant a tree is on the list twice. I’m not sure if they want you to plant two trees or just really want you to plant that first one-that’s for you to decide on your own.

As you cross each item off your list, be sure to take a picture of yourself doing so (for pretty obvious reasons). Or just send in an email promising you completed every task, but your camera broke afterward, I’m sure these people are very understanding of that sort of thing.

On second thought, that’s my plan, don’t do that.
