The Residences at Rodney Square cut the ribbon last night to their renovated self-park garage! The previous garage was a very tight valet- only garage in which residents  and the public parked in.  Quarterly surveys revealed that residents really wanted to see a garage in which they had their own space to park in. Corporate offices heard the requests and made the decision to renovate the space. A “Parking Your Way” campaign began. Construction took almost three months, and could not of been completed without the cooperation and understanding from the residents. The garage is now a much brighter place- completely re-painted, new lighting, cameras and traffic lights….it is hardly recognizable from the old garage.

Sherry O’Rourke, Property Manager and Wayne Mangini, Maintenance Supervisor cut the ribbon on the first floor of the renovated garage.

The Residences at Rodney Square hopes the new and improved parking makes residents lives easier, and lets them rest assured knowing that they are now able to park their car in their own, secured space. As was noted by Julia Mason, Residential Marketing Coordinator, “This garage is 100% for the residents.”

There was a celebration in the Weaver Room following the ribbon cutting ceremony. Many residents attended and were quite enthusiastic about the garage. “It will be so nice to have my own space connected to the building,” one resident explained, “Up until now I have been parking a few blocks away.”

Special thanks goes out to the project manager at BPGS Construction, Wesley Schwandt, the Superintendant Kevin Curry and The Residences at Rodney Square building maintenance supervisor Wayne Mangini, all of whom were essential in completing the project early.
