Put on your dancing shoes, ResideBPG: The DuPont Clifford Brown Jazz Festival returns Tuesday, June 21! This annual music festival, the largest free jazz festival on the East Coast, honors Clifford Brown, a celebrated trumpeter (and Wilmington native) who lost his life in a car accident way back in 1956.

Every summer since 1998, the DuPont Clifford Brown Jazz Festival has honored Brown's memory by bringing world-class jazz musicians to the stage in Wilmington's Rodney Square Park. This year will see performances from local, national, and international artists including Andra Day, Nicholas Payton, Kim Waters, and Miles Jaye. That's not all, though: The festival will also feature Sax in the City, a ticketed fundraiser for Wilmington's summer programming, as well as a free block party on June 24 that transforms two city blocks into a street festival complete with food, beer, and live music!
