With a variety of events this holiday season, there is something for the whole family to enjoy at the historic Hotel du Pont!
Tea with the Yuletide Singers | December 9 | 3 PM
Enjoy unique seasonal tea sandwiches and scones, a medley of holiday themed bite-size desserts all while listening to your favorite holiday songs performed by the Yuletide Singers, an ensemble of professional Victorian-era carolers. Dressed in elegant costumes, the quartet sings familiar and traditional carols and holiday music in four-part acapella harmony. The combination of period costumes and Victorian carols will evoke the spirit of a time gone by.
Lunch with Larry Denburg | December 23 | Noon
Magician Larry Denburg, a 5-time winner of Delaware’s Best in State award, will be bringing his magic to the Hotel du Pont this December. Larry will be strolling the Green Room performing close-up magic and sleight of hand as lunch guests enjoy a truly unique and exciting personal dining experience. This event will complement The Illusionists appearing at the Playhouse that day at 10 am, 2 pm and 8 pm.
Menu De Noel | December 22 | Reservations from 5:30 PM
Enjoy an elegant, 3-course prix fixe pre-Christmas Dinner in the Green Room. The menu includes a choice of filet mignon oscar, fresh lobster tail, or duck breast ‘au vin.’
Menu De Noel | December 23 & 24 | Reservations at 5 PM & 7PM
Treat yourself to a lavish 5-course pre-Christmas Dinner served in holiday style. The main entrée options include filet mignon, lobster tail, duck breast ‘au vin,’ Chilean sea bass, and red quinoa with petite mixed vegetables, followed by a holiday trio for dessert.
A La Carte Christmas Day Brunch | December 25 | Reservations at Noon & 2:30 PM
Take the stress out of the holiday and leave the cooking to the professionals this Christmas. Choose from a selection of six magnificent entrées and a variety of buffet items, featuring salad station, oyster & shrimp station, sushi station, international cheese and charcuterie, and a smoked salmon display.
Christmas Day Brunch Buffet | December 25 | Reservations at 11 AM & 1:30 PM
The hotel will be serving their most elegant and expansive buffet in the spectacular Gold Ballroom. This event will become the highlight of your family’s holiday celebrations for years to come.
New Year’s Eve Early Dinner | December 31 | Reservations at 5:30, 6:00, & 6:30 PM
If you’d prefer to celebrate New Year’s Eve early rather than waiting until the clock strikes twelve, Wilmington’s most magnificent hotel has an option for you. The Green Room will be serving an elegant three-course dinner, including a main entrée choice of Hawaiian tuna, Pekin duck, crab cakes, or 28-day aged NY strip steak. Glass of bubbly will also be provided.
New Year’s Eve Dinner Gala | December 31 | 8 PM
Ring in the New Year at the Hotel du Pont with the New Year’s Eve Dinner Gala. Feast on a spectacular five-course dinner in the Green Room at 8 PM followed by a live band, dancing, festive party favors, and a champagne toast at midnight. The menu for the evening includes Green Room favorites, like smoked salmon, chilled poached strip, ricotta gnocchi, 28-day aged NY strip steak, and 10-ounce lobster tails.
