To support local businesses this holiday season, the City of Wilmington will offer free metered parking between Noon and 6:00 PM Monday through Friday. The Wilmington holiday season parking meter policy began Friday, November 24, and will be in effect until Friday, December 29, 2017. During the specified weekday hours, the City will not require payment at parking meters in the Downtown Business District (defined as the area bounded by 2nd Street to 12th Street, and by French Street to Washington Street) and in the Riverfront Business District.
All other parking regulations will remain in effect during this time, so be sure to pay attention to time-limits and tow-away zones. Skip the mall this holiday season, and shop in Wilmington!
