April is a huge month for Live, Work, Play residents, so get ready to block off your calendar for at least ten consecutive days of full on city festivities. Beginning on April 4th, IN Wilmington Week will invade the city with a ten day celebration designed specifically to showcase local talent. This week and a half of innovative art and entertainment exhibition is scheduled to coincide with Wilmington’s Restaurant Week. Ringing in the season Live, Work, Play style is all a part of the plan.

What to Expect from IN Wilmington
Since virtually everybody who’s anybody is participating IN Wilmington, you should expect an air of excitement every place you turn. The City of Wilmington is offering Live, Work, Play residents INcentive in the form of discounted show tickets to entertainment venues such as the Arden Concert Gild and First State Ballet Theatre and free children’s admission to the Brandywine Zoo among other popular attractions. You can even save money on music classes at the Music School of Delaware by signing up during IN Wilmington Week.

In addition to the many discounts, budget-friendly events and family-friendly entertainment, Live, Work, Play residents can also participate in contests, engage in story telling exhibits and learn about the wonders of Mother Nature’s wildlife landscape. In anticipation of the upcoming holiday, the Brandywine Zoo will be hosting a discounted Easter egg workshop where the whole family can take in the sights of spirited zoo animals while learning the timeless craft of egg-painting. Keeping with the animal theme, Saturday night clubbers are invited to hit 15 local night clubs dressed as their favorite party animal. IN short, Live, Work, Play residents can expect a week of festivities, prizes, and community-oriented togetherness with a heavy focus on art, innovation, and wildlife preservation.

With so much ground to cover in just under two weeks, Live, Work, Play residents can expect to have worked up quite an appetite. Not to worry, with Restaurant Week in full swing, purchasing a plate from one of the many participating local eateries could save you more money than you’d spend if you stewed over the stove for hours. One of the many Restaurant Week specials that select restaurants are offering is the ever-popular three courses for $15 delight.
